The foundation presents its current focal points in the annual report and other publications:

During his lifetime, company founder Robert Bosch wasn’t just concerned about the well-being of his associates, he also used his position as an entrepreneur to help society.

Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH, founded in 1964, continues this commitment. It holds 92 percent of the share capital of Robert Bosch GmbH, and finances its activities using the company’s dividends. It focuses in particular on the areas of international understanding, welfare, education, training, and healthcare.

In 2012, the almost 130 associates were working on approximately 800 internal and external projects with a total investment volume of 69 million euros. The annual presentation of the German School Award, the “Dementia patients in hospital” support program, and training opportunities for journalists are just a small part of the current commitment. In July 2013, the foundation started work on its largest single project to date – the UWC Robert Bosch College in Freiburg. With a budget of 40 million euros, this institution will in future train as many as 200 pre-university students from 70 countries.
