Knowledge Factory: Corporations for Germany

About 100 companies and foundations combine their fortitude to create a promising future for the German business location.

As a founding member of the “Wissensfabrik – Unternehmen für Deutschland” (Knowledge Factory – Companies for Germany) initiative, Bosch works to promote the education of children and young people. For this purpose, we have set up a total of 100 partnerships with educational establishments in several German federal states. In joint projects with kindergartens and schools, we want to give children and young people a better understanding of business and technology. The curriculum is developed in cooperation with everyone involved in the project. Bosch has entered into some 260 partnerships with educational institutions such as kindergartens and schools across Germany.

The member companies in the Knowledge Factory also support students and young entrepreneurs. The annual WECONOMY competition for new businesses gives founders with the best business ideas the opportunity to attend a networking weekend to share information and ideas with experienced managers.

The Knowledge Factory was founded in 2005 by nine companies, one of them Bosch. The network now includes more than 90 companies of different sizes from a variety of sectors. The members aim to use educational partnerships with kindergartens and schools and a mentoring program for company founders to strengthen Germany as an industrial location.
