Code of Business Conduct

The Bosch Code of Business Conduct provides our associates with a guide for conducting their day-to-day business. It defines all the relevant legal and internal regulations, including the “Basic principles of social responsibility at Bosch,” which were approved in 2004. We also underpin the importance of the principle of legality through our membership of Transparency International, which we joined in 1995. To complement the Code of Business Conduct, Bosch is expanding its global compliance organization by creating a corporate compliance committee and appointing compliance officers in the individual regions. This move serves to strengthen our existing prevention and inspection activities, including the principle of dual control, job rotation in sensitive areas, strict separation of operative and monitoring systems, and regular audits. In addition, we keep all associates worldwide informed and will be introducing a mandatory information and training program. The new compliance system is complemented by telephone hotlines and e-mail addresses for reporting compliance issues, as well as by the audits that have been conducted hitherto at locations and suppliers' premises.

The Code of Business Conduct and our Bosch values provide an excellent foundation for creating the trust that plays a key role in our business success.
