Mars

Mysterious, Earth-like, fascinating

Where there’s water, there’s life. At least that’s how it is on the world we know. Aerospace engineer Erich Klein takes a pragmatic view: “Deep channels on the surface indicate that there indeed used to be water on Mars. But we have yet to prove that there is life on the planet. The fact is, though, that no other planet in the solar system is more similar to Earth.”

The red planet is a fascinating place – and not only for scientists such as Erich Klein. Since the early days of space travel, people have been imagining a future on Mars. What would life be like on our neighboring planet?

With only one-third of Earth’s gravity, there would be little to weigh you down while you enjoy the long summer on Mars. And if you are looking for a little adventure, Olympus Mons offers a real challenge.

Who knows? Maybe the 2020 Mars mission will help make this science-fiction fantasy a reality in the near future. But until then, just look at our posters – and keep reaching for the stars.
